The Beacon of Light Scholarship Fund has been established by
CBC to provide scholarship support to disadvantaged and/or
at-risk youth. By supporting this fund you are helping

Mrs.
Polly Baker Memorial Scholarship
The family of Mrs. Polly Baker, of Millis, MA, wishes to
remember her lifelong love of sailing, sense of adventure,
and tireless commitment to improving the lives of children
through volunteering. Gifts to this fund will be used
as scholarships for young women from the greater New Bedford
area.

Dr. John
C. Bullard Memorial Scholarship
Dr. John C. Bullard, of New Bedford, MA, was a prominent
physician in our region and dedicated to the welfare of the
young. He was also a lifelong sailor and loyal
supporter of CBC. Friends of the Bullard family
established this scholarship to honor Dr. Bullard's memory.

Liza
Evans Memorial Scholarship
Liza Evans, of Marion, MA, was an enthusiastic supporter of
the junior sailing special events at CBC. The
recipient of this scholarship will be a young teenager with
a lot of enthusiasm and a gift for laughter, qualities that
embody Liza's spirit.

Lawrence
D'Onofrio Memorial Scholarship
Lawrence P. D'Onofrio, of Cambridge, MA, was a friend
to children of all ages and loved sailing on Buzzards Bay.
Gifts to this fund will be used as scholarships so that
youngsters with lively spirits, curiosity and a willingness
to learn may take part in the programs that CBC is proud to
offer.
