Dear Friends,
As we reflect on 2020 at CBC I continue to be in awe of our supporters, our staff, our kids and our community and what we were able to accomplish together.
This was a highly unusual year for all of us. We did not think, back in March, that we would be able to have a summer program, let alone a fall program. We accomplished both of those things and more.
We did it by implementing the following protocols:

- Daily health questions asked and answered each morning
- Mandatory masks on staff and children when on land and when they were on the water within 6 feet of each other
- Increased daily equipment cleaning
- Installation of outdoor sinks to encourage frequent hand washing
- Students separated and kept in pods the entire time at CBC
- Every student was issued their own life jacket to use during the duration of their time at CBC
- Two tents set up on our grounds to keep pods separate and encourage social distancing
- Increased the bandwidth of our Wi-fi network to ensure it could be accessed anywhere on our grounds

I am thrilled to report that thanks to these implementations we were able to not only run the 8 weeks of summer programming, we added an additional 2 weeks to coincide with the delayed start of school. We were able to positively impact the lives of so many local children and young adults DURING a pandemic. Absolutely amazing.
