Windsurfing Top Gun Class
Our Windsurfing Program was so engaging this summer that we ran 2 weeks of late-summer intermediate class, nick-named “Top Gun”. This left everyone wanting more, so we pulled together a Fall Windsurfing group, which met twice weekly after school. The strong autumn winds boosted the confidence, skills, and top speeds of everyone involved.
Head Coach Jim looks over Masada’s shoulder on the dry-land simulator. Jim designed and built the simulator around some big skateboard trucks and wheels. The simulator was one of several innovations that led to a fantastic summer of windsurfing.

Palmer’s Island
At CBC, we strive to teach our participants how to be good ocean stewards and we know that an important part of that is that we lead by example. As part of our continued efforts on this front, we have committed, along with our partners at Operation Clean Sweep, to get many years’ worth of debris off of Palmer’s Island in New Bedford Harbor before the end of this year.
